Have you thought leaving your partner would mean your child would not have financial support? Parents have a legal duty to provide for their children financially.

Louisiana courts have designated two calculations for determining child support. The obligation work sheet A is used when there is a domiciliary parent who has the child more than fifty percent (50%) of the time.  Obligation work sheet B is used when the parents have physical custody of the child/children about equally.
